Baker Seed Collection
A brief description of the data from the Baker Seed Collection The Baker Seed Collection is comprised of seeds from approximately 2,925 taxa and each seed packet has an associated data card. This image is an annotated version of the data card for Achyrachaena mollis. The cards include the following information and traits: taxon name, accession number, habitat type or plant community, plant habit, life form, flower color, when flowering begins and ends, how long flowers last, if a mass flowering event occurred, if flowers were open or closed, if nectar was present or absent, seed weight, seed dispersal system, number of seeds per fruit, number of seeds per plant, if plants were chasmogamous or cleistogamous, if plants reproduce vegetatively, if plants are self compatible, a description of the scent, and notes on pollinators.
