Gaz. 17: 352. 1892), "Thurow" (in italics) is indicated, presumably, as the type specimen (Hockley, Texas), and there evidently is no further mention of this name, so it is not clear which gender is involved. Based on an assumption that "Thurow" is a male (an assumption that might not be valid), spelling of epithet corrected to "thurowii", from "thurowi" previously in this Index, 29 Oct 2007.
