E of Division St. on Riverside Rd., sandy slope and outwash from Mesa, slopes dominated by coastal scrub, uncommon, 15 April 1998, David Keil 26740; Santa Barbara Co.: Vandenberg Air Force Base, N Base, sandy hills NE of Pine Canyon Gate, area bordered to N by Hwy 1 (Lompoc-Casmalia Rd.) and on both sides of Santa Lucia Canyon Rd., area burned over in autumn 1997, mosaic chaparral, coastal scrub and coastal live oak woodland with wetland areas along Santa Lucia Canyon and Lower Lake Canyon, uncommon, stems many from base, 8 May 1998, David Keil 27139.
