Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that "The hybrid combination of Agrostis stolonifera x Polypogon monspeliensis is treated in Flora North America as àAgropogon lutosus (Poir.) P.Fourn., not as Agropogon littoralis. A. littoralis is an illegitimate name." [X Agropogon lutosus (Poir.) P. Fourn. (without the hybrid sign, as Agropogon lutosus (Poir.) P. Fourn.) "is a sterile hybrid between Agrostis stolonifera and Polypogon monspeliensis." in note under Agrostis in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] as well as eFlora; X Agropogon littoralis (Sm.) C. E. Hubb. is not mentioned in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] or the eFlora. Although the basis of the illegitimacy is not indicated in Correspondence 2, X Agropogon littoralis (Sm.) C. E. Hubb. changed to X Agropogon littoralis (Sm.) C. E. Hubb. nom illeg., and X Agropogon lutosus (Poir.) P. Fourn. added to this Index, 30 Jan 2018.]
