Given excellent drainage (modification of compacted or other water-holding soils may be necessary), grows especially well in zones 15, 16, and 17 and also in zone 5.

Given excellent drainage (modification of compacted or other water-holding soils may be necessary) and moderate summer watering, grows especially well in zones 14, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23 and also in zones 7, 8, and 9.

Cultivars available in the horticultural trade.

Good groundcover.

The Jepson Horticultural Database derives from the horticulture information provided in the first edition of The Jepson Manual for more than 3500 native species. The database is intended to allow this information to be searched easily and maintained conveniently. It will be expanded to allow searches that include other characteristics of the plants.
