Wetherwax), the range given in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] for Paeonia californica is to be expanded to include s CCo, and the elevational range expanded downward to be 0-1500 m, as the species grows in the Elfin Forest in Los Osos, at < 10 m elevation; UC964809 (slope above Hwy. 1 between Lucia and Big Sur, Monterey Co.) and UC990528 (Santa Rosa Creek Rd. e of Hwy 1 near Cambria, San Luis Obispo Co.) voucher these changes. | |||||
