Life History:
direct development demonstrated in culture, with recycling of filamentous thalli by zooids from plurilocular organs, unilocular organs unknown ( Wynne 1969 a, p. 5 ); coordination of life history with that of its obligate host ( the sporophyte of Postelsia palmaeformis ) not yet elucidated  Display references
Phenology:
annual plant appearing in June and disappearing in January, restricted to the period when its annual host is mature
