No. 4155. Sambucus glauca. Trees in Strawberry very heavy with fruit. The dense bloom is white rather than blue and is black beneath the bloom. Strawberry Ca_on, July 27.
- Cupressus sargentii (?). Six miles north of Fairfax on the Little Carson Creek grows a bunch of cypress. Go to top and over a gap to a rolling plateau beyond - the cypress is on the plateau. - A. H. Allen, June, '10.

"Buckwheat, Dwarf" is a name for a scrub plant 6 - 12 in. h., white and pink fuzzy bloom at San Diego, Sept. - Nov.
Rhus diversiloba, a bee plant, the honey from it is of very good grade and carries no poison. Sold on a commercial scale.
