Mimulus constrictus (A.L. Grant) Pennell
Habit: Annual 2--24 cm, hairy. Leaf: 5--32 mm, narrowly elliptic to obovate. Flower: pedicel 0.5--3 mm; calyx 7--12 mm, ribbed, swollen especially in fruit, coarsely hairy, +- oblique at mouth, lobes erect, +- equal, 1--4 mm, acuminate; corolla +- pink to red-purple, persistent, tube-throat 13--22 mm, throat +- white with radiating, dark maroon marks, throat floor and limb long-hairy; placentas parietal. Fruit: 8--12 mm. Chromosomes: 2n=16.
Ecology: Slopes, road banks near runoff areas; Elevation: 790--2090(2380) m. Bioregional Distribution: s SN, Teh, n WTR. Flowering Time: May--Aug Note: Intergrades with Mimulus whitneyi in southern SNH, Mimulus johnstonii in southern WTR and southern SCoRO.
