No. 7326. Gymnosteris minuscula Jepson n. sp.
Anthers 5, sessile at mouth of tube. Cor. yellow, its lobes very short. Ovary elliptic in outline. Style 3-cleft to middle or a little below

[DRAWING] Corolla.

[DRAWING] Calyx spread open from 3-flowerd involucre.

[DRAWING] = Invol. of 4 bracts connate at base and enclosing a cluster of 3 flowers, subtended by a pair of leaves which are connate-perfoliate.

Corolla really white with a somewhat yellowish center, or fading yellowish.

Where there is only one fl. the invol. lobes are usually narrower, and the pair of leaves are set some distance below, showing a distinct internode; but again the pair of leaves may approximate the invol. In my material the flowers are usually one. 11,800 ft. See 7309.
