21_41 March 15, 1910. - Miss Alice Hilgard, an exceedingly bright and brainy girl, laid down the principle so thoroughly and persuasively that nature, grand though it may be as in California, is not enough for people. Hence people admire Switzerland more because of its human interest. THe human interest and association in the crowning glory to nature. I was quite dumb after such a flow of language and looked to Prof. Hilgard who is a truly nature devotee for help but he seemed to think it not worthwhile to enter the lists. - But for amusement see p. 181, ahead (Felton, Aug. 18). // Sept. 1910 |
