Initial Editorial Comments indicated only for CA, PA, NC, SC in Kartesz & Meacham; "a heavy infestation reported in a vineyard 1 mi. w. of Madera, Madera Co.,...w. Kern and e. San Luis Obispo cos...." in Munz Supplement, p. 20; listed in genus paragraph in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] among species "perhaps in California as waifs"; according to Source d, status uncertain, although at least some of the conditions of cited occurrences seem not to qualify for inclusion in the flora according to criteria employed by Jepson Flora Project (21 Feb 2003).
