THE INDEX NOMINUM ALGARUM

The Index Nominum Algarum, a compendium of all (ca. 200,000) algal names, is gradually being made available as a searchable database.
Only about 20,000 of the names are stored in text form, with the rest being available as images of the 3 X 5 cards on which they were compiled. 80% of the card images are linked to a text index of names.
