Life History:
uninvestigated in Pacific coast populations; in the Atlantic (including the Mediterranean), some isolates apparently lacking sexual reproduction, recycling by means of quadriflagellate zoospores (Yarish 1975), other isolates with an alternation of isomorphic phases, the unisexual or bisexual gametophytes producing biflagellate anisogametes, the sporophyte producing quadriflagellate zoospores (O'Kelly and Yarish 1981b, p. 35) Display references
