Ca 50 km W of Fresno, Alkali Sink Ecological Reserve (Dept Fish & Game), a few 100 m S of hwy 180 along a dirt road bissecting the Ecological Reserve and Mendota Wildlife Refuge.
Bunchgrass (Sporobolus) stand located in Merced NWR, section N of Sandy Mush Rd. Stand comprised of wide clumps of grass. Clumps mostly dead in middle (show signs of having been grazed in the past). Annual herbs including annual grasses growing in middle of clumps. Signs of grazing in past, hoof punch and cowpies. Associated taxa (Sporobolus sp). 4118533 N, 710625 UTME (NAD 83 GPS, 10 Zone; 37.189511, -120.627072). Elev 26 m.
Part of main Merced NWR unit, N of Sandy Mush Rd. and west of red barn. Evidence of past cattle grazing. Don't think its been farmed. Frankenia salina occurs in small, repeating patches throughout landscape. Associated taxa Frankenia salina. 4118464 N, 710620 UTME (NAD 83 GPS, 10 Zone; 37.188891, -120.627148). Elev 25 m.

Yolo County Grasslands Park: East of Davis, from intersection of I-80 and Mace Blvd., 3.5 mi. south on Mace Blvd. (County Road 104), thence east 0.5 miles along unpaved entrance road. Then, south 400 yards and about 10 yards west of Department of Defense fence, between 2 large vernal pools.
Colusa County: Payne Ranch (owned by BLM), lands to the SW of the intersection of Hwy 16 and Hwy 2 West of BLM equestrian parking lot (Cowboy Canon west side of Bear Creek. Approximately 1/4 mile SW of parking lot.
