Habitat  ?   Wide shallow wash on alluvial slope, silty soil; creosote bush scrub with dense herbs due to recent summer rain. Water may pond here regularly -- Larrea tall and lush. Assoc. with Prosopis glandulosa, Ambrosia dumosa, Atriplex canescens, Euphorbia micromera, Hoffmannseggia glauca, Amaranthus albus, Sphaeralcea emoryi. 
Notes  ?   Fairly common perennial in wash; fls. yellow.
