Habitat  ?   Volcanic gravel bench in wash. With Nicotiana obtusifolia, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Sphaeralcea ambigua, Yucca schidigera, Encelia farinosa, Salazaria mexicana, Perityle emoryi. main bajada an ambrosia-Larrea community. Area recieved late summer or early fall rain 
Notes  ?   Woody shrub, 6 dm high by 120 dm wide. Stems and lvs rough. Lvs green deltoid ovate to chordate. Infl of solitary heads or two flrd panicle. Rays yellow. Plant bent over from flooding down wash. Voucher specimen for Flowering Plants of the Western Desert Regions.
