Habitat  ?   Highly disturbed [by off road vehicles] alluvial wash, with few relatively undisturbed areas. Assoc. spp. in undisturbed areas: Eriodictyon crassifolium, Eriogonum fasciculatum and Opuntia basilaris. Disturbed areas have mostly nonnative grasses and mustard. Eriastrum sapphirinum also present. 
Notes  ?   Relatively undisturbed part of wash. Population of 12 individuals, all flowering. Common name: Santa Ana River Woolystar.
