Habitat  ?   Weedy vacant lot bordered by coastal sage scrub on slopes (at least partially fill), with Eriogonum fasciculatum, Encelia farinosa, Baccharis pilularis, etc. on slopes. Loam soil. Surrounded by urban development. 
Notes  ?   About 10 trees and saplings, 1-10 m tall. Foliage lemon-scented. All clearly spontaneous, but doubtless the progeny of trees cultivated in adj. Kaiser parking lot. Trunks smooth, pale, bark peeling. Frt. only on largest tree. Juveniles ( < 2 m tall) with rough, wavy-margined lvs.
