Rocky, dry NE-facing slopes, bedrock apparently granitic-metamorphic; soil sandy, with gravel and large boulders. Western Sonoran Desert scrub, including Eriogonum fasciculatum, Spharalcea ambigua, Mirabilis bigelovii, Eriodictyon crassifolium, Bernrdia, Prosopis, etc.
