Habitat  ?   Mixed chaparral - coastal sage scrub dominated by Adenostoma fasciculatum, Quercus berberidifolia, Sambucus mexicana, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Rhus ovata, Malosma laurina, Aesculus californica. 
Notes  ?   About a dozen individuals along a steep east facing draw. One shrub had recently established above the road about 15 m down-road from the collection site. Shrubs were becoming deciduous early due to drought but a few were at terminal bloom.
