Habitat  ?   Variable vegetation from small grassy fields with Asteraceae, grasses and Clarkia bottae, to an oak woodland canyon with moist and shady conditions. Site also had typical chaparral species but was not densely vegetated. 
Notes  ?   Shrub about 2.5 feet tall, in full sun; red flowers. About three or four other plants like this one were seen.
