Habitat  ?   Steep-sided ridges of granitic substrates; canyon bottom marked by large area of granite slick-rock with numerous deep bedrock pools. Vegetation on mesic slopes is chaparral of Quercus berberidifolia, Rhus ovata, arborescent Quercus engelmannii; xeric slopes with Adenostoma fasciculatum, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Artemisia california, and Salvia apiana; riparian area with Platanus racemosa, Populus fremontii, Baccharis salicifolia.
