Habitat  ?   Rolling hills and swales with granitic outcrops. Mostly coastal sage scrub and annual grassland; small areas of scrubby riparian along ephemeral channels. Mix of upland CSS and riparian herbs. 
Associates  ?   Mimulus cardinalis Douglas ex Benth. (lives/grows with); Stachys ajugoides Benth. (lives/grows with) 
Morphology Notes  ?   Annual, fls & anthers yellow, to about 1.3 m tall. About 100-200 plants in an ephemeral channel, along 2 linear distance of ca. 100m. Presumably, more up- and downstream.
