Habitat  ?   Area of chaparral and foothill woodland burned in Sept. 1996 Highway 58 fire. Swale area near road with rushes, Eleocharis, etc.; Locally common in swale. NOTE: This would key to A. acanthocarpa var. oligochaeta in Hoover. Prickles none. Scar excavated.
