Locality  ?   Verdugo Mountains; North side of Verdugo Mountains. Entered west of Haines Canon Park off of Estepa Drive in Tujunga. Followed ridge southwest, then dropped down from ridge west into a small tributary northwest of this ridge. Tributary is north of the 210 Freeway. South of freeway will drain into La Tuna Canon. South of Hostetter Motorway (on the Thomas Guide) just off La Tuna Canon Road, south or and you can see the 210 Freeway.  
Habitat  ?   Associated plants included: Quercus agrifolia, Platanus racemosa, Toxicodendron diversilobum, Keckiella cordifolia, Ficus carica, Salix laevigata, S. lasiolepis, Carex barbarae, C. spissa, Tanacetum parthenium, Lilium humboldtii ocelatum, Artemesia douglasiana, Galium angustifolium, Bromus diandrus, Mimulus aurantiacus, Phacelia cicutaria hispida, Cyperus eragrostis, Juncus xiphioides, Conium maculatum, Muhlenbergia rigens, Dudleya lanceolata, Erigeron foliosus, Vinca major, Elymus glaucus, Rubus ursinus, Euphorbia peplus, Dryopteris arguta, Solidago californica, Cerastium glomeratum, Apocynum cannabium, and Solanum douglasii.
