Locality  ?   Lakeside, about 3 North of on W side of Muth Valley Rd., 100 yards W of junction with Wildcat Canyon Rd., about 2 N of Lakeside. Site is about 3⁄4 mi. E of Muth Valley.

Habitat  ?   Steep, rocky E-facing bank. Granite boulders with some clay loam. 
Associates  ?   Recovering chaparral. Area burned in Oct. 2003 Cedar Fire, but some rocky sites were spared. 
Morphology Notes  ?   To 2 1⁄2 feet tall, with soft hollow stems. Flowers are purple-pink and white. With birdsfoot trefoil, red brome, wild oats, white sage.
