Central Coast: Cambria, along Burton Drive, down canyon from intersection with Eaton Riad, to the edge of the East Village at the creek crossing (Cambria 7.5′Q)
Canyon among hills, +- urbanized Monterey pine (Pinus radiata) forest with cavant lots, roadsides, etc. More intact slopes also with Quercus agrifolia, Rhamnus californica, Heteromeles, Toxicodendron, Baccharis pilularis, Salix, etc.
Uncommon but widely scattered 1.5-8 m shrubs, at disturbed road edges and on slopes; petals and filaments white, anthers yellow-green. Sepals reflexed.
