Arica Mountains: west side of the mountain range, approximately 2.6 air miles west of Priests Well, and approximately 6.8 air miles southwest of the ghost town of Rice.
Collecting in a large open sandy-gravely wash below large outcroppings of limestone conglomerate along the main western drainage of the mountain range with Psorothamnus spinosus, Accasia greggii, Larrea tridentata, Bebbia juncea, Ambrosia dumosa, Krameria grayi, Psorothamnus emoryi, Encelia farinosa, Dicoria canescence, Echinocactus polycephalus, Stephanomeria pauciflora, Ephedra sp., Encelia frutescence, Palafoxia arida, Sarcostema sp., Chamaesyce micromeria, Kallstroemia californica, Pectis papposa, ect.
