Associated species include: Pinus jeffreyi, P. contorta murrayana, Abies concolor, Juniperus occidentalis australis, Ribes cereum, Artemisia tridentata, Symphoricarpos rotundifolius parishii, Salix lasiolepis, S. lutea, S. scouleriana, Arctostaphylos patula, Horkelia rydbergii, Carex subfusca, Cerastium fontanum vulgare, Taraxacum officinale, T. californicum, Eleocharis quinqueflora, E. bella, Drymocallis lactea, Potentilla gracilis fastigiata, P. wheeleri, Juncus orthophyllus, J. nevadensis, Montia chamissoi, Myosurus apetalus, Lewisia nevadensis, Trifolium monanthum grantianum, Stachys albens, Polygonum douglasii, Stellaria longipes, Mimulus primuloides pilosellus, M. suksdorfii, M. floribundus, Veronica peregrina xalapensis, Plagiobothrys hispidulus, and Limosella acaulis.
