Collected along the portion of Santa Ana River to edge of the eastern end of Big Meadows, and close to the southern end of Heart Bar Campground, near 34.15862N, 116.78516W.
Dry flat, south of Heart Bar Campground. Drainage dips into the north side of Big Meadows. Forest of Pinus jeffreyi, P. monophylla, Juniperus occidentalis australis, Quercus kelloggii, Arctostaphylos patula, Cercocarpus ledifolius, Tetradymia canescens, Salvia pachyphylla, Eriogonun wrightii subscaposum, Penstemon labrosus, and Koeleria macrantha. Open flat had: Artemisia tridentata vaseyana, Chrysothamnus nauseosus bernardinus, C. viscidiflorus, and Gutierrezia sarothrae.
