Shrubland dominated by Ephedra nevadensis, Eriogonum fasciculatum var. polifolium, Tetradymia axillaris, Coleogyne ramocissima, Menodora spinescens, Achnatherum speciosum, Hymenoclea salsola, Chrysothamnus spp. Rich annual flora dominated by Nama, Layia, Mentzelia, Camissonia.
