Locality  ?   North side of the range; Engleheard Canon. Pass or up canyon from Camp Max Straus at the end of Shirly Jean Street; Burbank 7.5 Quad.  
Morphology Notes  ?   Mostly shady canyon, but I did pass a few open sunny areas within the short distance that I could travel up this canyon. Some of the associated species that I encountered up this canyon are: Quercus agrifolia, Q. berberidifolia, Platanus racemosa, Acer macrophyllum, Umbellularia californica, Lilium humboldtii ocellatum, Artemisia douglasiana, A. californica, Symphoricarpus mollis, Rosa californica, Ageratina adenophora, Toxicodendron diversilobum, Rubus ursinus, Baccharis salicifolia, Marah macrocarpus, Senecio mikanioides, Solidago californica, Sambucus mexicana, Datisca glomerata, Dryopteris arguta, Pellaea andromedifolia, Polypodium californicum, Pholistoma auritum, Scrophularia californica floribunda, Salix lasiolepis, Leymus condensatus, Ribes aureum gracillimum, Rhamnus californica, R. ilicifolia, Potentilla glandulosa, Mimulus aurantiacus, Prunus ilicifolia, Ficus carica, Fraxinus uhdei, Dudleya lanceolata, Malosma laurina, Anthriscus caucalis, Bromus diandrus, B. sterilis, Galium aparine, Stachys albens, Salvia mellifera, S. apiana, Lathyrus vestitus, Keckiella cordifolia, Solanum douglasii, Piptatherum miliaceum, Carduus pycnocephalus, Conium maculatum, and Sisymbrium officinale. Purple flowered plant. Only seen a few.
