West end of the main crest; From the Pacific Crest Trail (from the south) along road (7N23) pass the second Pacific Crest Trail that exits off north of the road.; Liebre Mtn. 7.5 Quads.Finish near the NW corner of section 3 and started at the west end of section 12, west of Bear Gulch Camp. About a 4 mile hike from east to west (This for the Angeles National Forest road surveys.)
Habitat^?	Rounded high mountain, with rolling oaks, pine and grass, (savanna-like) areas. Thicker chaparral on south slopes below and oak woodland forest on some north slopes. Plant species include: Quercus kelloggii, Q. wislizenii, (and their hybrid Q. x morehus), Q. chrysolepis, Pinus sabiniana, Arctostaphylos glandulosa glaucomollis, Rhamnus tomentella cuspidata, Prunus emarginata, Ceanothus leucodermis, Cercocarpus betuloides, Lotus crassifolius, Eriogonum fasciculatum, E. roseum, E. cithariforme agninum, Marah fabaceus, Lonicera interrupta, Phacelia egena, Asclepias eriocarpa, Plagiobothrys arizonicus, Collomia grandiflora, Clarkia rhomboidea, Camissonia intermedia, Mentzelia congesta, Chaenactis xantiana, Gilia ochroleuca bizonata, Lupinus formosus, Cryptantha muricata, C. circumscissa, Penstemon centranthifolius, P. grinnellii, Amsinckia tessellata, Sisymbrium altissimum, Erodium cicutarium, Bromus carinatus, B. tectorum, B. diandrus, Lessingia lemmonii peirsonii, L. filaginifolia, and Agoseris retrorsa. Growing in shade of Quercus.
