Locality  ?   Northwest side of mountains: North of La Tuna Canon road, started at end of Elben Ave.; Burbank 7.5 Quad.Climbed north to ridgetop, south of McDonald Creek, then east along ridgeline, then we came back down into a small canyon at the end of Elben Place, just east of where we started.  
Morphology Notes  ?   Canyon bottom just above Elben Place. Sunny area. Planted by old residence foundation. (Up canyon) Small canyon that gets narrow quickly. Planted and native flora are: Eucalyptus globulus, Olea europaea, Casimiroa tetrameria, Juglans californica, Melia azedarach, Populus balsamifera trichocarpa?, Pinus coulteri, P. halepensis and Thuja orientalis are the planted species. Platanus racemosa, Quercus agrifolia, Malosma laurina, Sambucus mexicana, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Artemisia californica, A. douglasiana, A. dracunculus, Marah macrocarpus, Ribes aureum, Salvia mellifera, Baccharis salicifolia, Rhamnus ilicifolia, Toxicodendron diversilobum, Brickellia californica, Galium angustifolium, Lessingia filaginifolia, Ageratina adenophora, Lotus scoparius, Sonchus oleraceus, Lactuca serriola, Bromus diandrus, B. madritensis rubens, Vulpia myuros, Stellaria media, Phacelia distans, P. cicutaria hispida, Sisymbrium orientale, S. irio, Gnaphalium purpureum, G. bicolor, Rafinesquia californica, Eucrypta chrysanthemifolia, Anthriscus caucalis, Malva parviflora, Cirsium occidentale, Hirschfeldia incana, Hesperocnide tenella, Urtica urens, Pectocarya penicillata, Camissonia bistorta, C. hirtella, Centaurea melitensis, Lupinus bicolor, Ambrosia acanthicarpa, Hordeum glaucum, Schismus barbatus, Erodium cicutarium, Carrex spissa, Leymus condensatus, Solanum douglasii.
