Morphology Notes  ?   Rocky and sandy river bottom with pools of water here and there, but mostly dry at this time. Growing in sun on sandy soil. Other associated plants include; Salix sp., Fraxinus sp., Quercus agrifolia, Umbellularia californica, Ficus carica, Rubus ursinus, Ageratina adenophora, Cyperus involucratus, C. eragrostis, Conium maculatum, Toxicodendron diversilobum, Epilobium ciliatum ciliatum, Lactuca serriola, Plantago lanceolata, Melica imperfecta and Piptatherum miliaceum.
