Habitat  ?   Steep slopes of decomposed granitic soils, fairly humus rich, with outcrops of granite boulders; Overstory of Quercus chrysolepis and Pseudotsuga macrocarpa, with scattered Acer macrophyllum along stream and Aesculus californica, Pinus sabiniana and Quercus lobata on shoulders of slope. Understory of Ribes roezlii, Claytonia perfoliata, Galium aparine, etc. 
Morphology Notes  ?   Annual with semi-terete, succulent leaves, flowers white. Foliage pinkish gray with distinct glaucous covering. Common on open sunny spots.
