Habitat  ?   Open S-facing gradient near reservoir. In stony and gravelly soil. 
Morphology Notes  ?   A moundlike clump of perennials. Banner white, with a blurry, pale yellow e ye′, within which are minute dull-purplish spots. In older fls., banner purple, considerably darker than wings. Wings white to light blue-violet, frequently darker apically and shading to white basally. Keel white faintly tinted with yellow, with a deep maroon acumen. Anthers and pollen orange-yellow. Filaments and pistil pale green. Pods immature,the larger ones a darker, duller green. Pedicels pale green to straw-color. Racemes with 2-4 whorls, commonly 3, in this colony (to 5-6 whorls in another). Lfts. troughlike, blue-green, lighter beneath (and on petiole), where there was a silvery sheen. Stems light green above, decument, tannish gray and more or less woody below. Clump to ca. 20 in. tall and ca. 5-6 ft. across.
