Locality  ?   West end of Stafford Lake, 5 miles W Novato.  
Morphology Notes  ?   Abundant and gregarious but local on a muddy flat. Perianth light green, shading to darkish brown on apices of segments. Herbage blue-green. Stems flattish. Patch, ca. 15 feet across, was in shade of a single willow, Salix lasiolepis, surrounding areas being open. Major associates were less prominent than this rhizomatous rush; they included Carex athrostachys, Rumex conglomeratus, Bromus mollis, Geranium dissectum, and Medicago polymorpha.
