| Morphology Notes ? | Very sparse subalpine forest in places around lake. Lodgepole forest on next canyon step 300′ below, occasional krumholtz clumps to ca. 11,500′. Salix thickets and extensive sod patches to ca. 11,200′ on steep lower slope below great broken-rock bowl between 2 peaks of 7-Gables. This Carex very short in outlet of lake, not much of it water deepens sharply. Same sps. much taller and very abundant in lake next canyon step 300′ below. | |
