Habitat  ?   Shallow to fair in swales mostly thin and very rocky. Low rolling surface with rocky outcrops supporting Selaginella. Some higher ground on edge with Foothill Woodland extending over edge down slope. Some margin vertical cliff 50-300 ft. Intermittent lakes 0-3′ deep in deeper swales. NW-SE cracks in basalt with deep soil supporting foothill woodland. 
Morphology Notes  ?   Tree rooted in deep ravine of the fracture type. Soil deep in fracture 8-10′ below general table surface. Top of tree extended above table.
