Hilly area, most of hill removed by former mine, quarry floor occupied for several decades by industrial buildings and pavement. Remnant coastal sage scrub patch persists along with waste areas, untended landscaping at top of quarry face and some brushy thickets. Many weeds and escaped ornamentals present. Artemisia californica, Rhus ovata, Ricinus communis, Baccharis salicifolia, B. pilularis, Prunus ilicifolia lyonii, Eucalyptus citriodora, and Acacia spp. were all at least locally common. Common 2-3 m shrub at top of bluffs of old quarry.
Some possibly originally planted, but many now spontaneous. Predominately R ovata, but lvs. rather flat, suggesting introgression from R. integrifolia.
