Locality  ?   Garcia Mountain. Most collections made in the Garcia Wilderness. Stony Creek campground.; Caldwell MesaNear 35.20 N 120.25 W. From the camp down stream to the trail that climbs up to Caldwell (colwell) Mesa. Ended the survey on caldwell Mesa. Near 35.22 N 120.30 W.
Habitat  ?   Around the campground is inholding use for grazing. Mostly grasslands with oaks. Riparian habitat near stream. Chaparral and mostly Quercus douglasii woodland on lower slopes and benches down stream. Nice Pinus coulteri forests up on upper slopes of the south side of creek (Pine Ridge). Upper oak benches had a lot of signs of Sus scrofa. This is a drought year, so no running creek water. Only pools of water in deeper depressions. Caldwell Mesa was pretty dry at this time. Inholding used for grazing too. Growing along trail.
