Habitat  ?   Oak scrub burned last fall and now resprouting, sprouts 1-2 ft. tall. Fire apparently hot, based on little remaining potential fuel and low density of annuals. Annuals few but large; good diversity of species. 
Associates  ?   Assoc. skeletons and a few live plants of Yucca whipplei, Pinus monophylla (few), Juniperus californica, Arcrostaphylos, Quercus wislizenii, etc. 
Morphology Notes  ?   Uncommon to fairly common perennial with clustered leaf rosettes (cespitose clumps); fls. white. Infls. 1.5-2 m tall.
