Associated plants include: Pinus ponderosa, Pinus coulteri, Quercus kelloggii, Q. chrysolepis, Q. wislizenii, Arctostaphylos pringlei drupacea, Solidago californica, Poa secunda, Elymus glaucus, Carex multicaulis, Dendromecon rigida, Ceanothus leucodermis, Cercocarpus betuloides, Lupinus bicolor, L. concinnus, Gilia ochroleuca exilis, Linanthus dianthiflorus, Leptosiphon ciliatus, Vulpia microstachys, Bromus diandrus, and Lotus strigosus. Upper throat purple, lower yellow. Purple limbs.
