Morphology Notes  ?   Very hairy. Growing in mats on ground. Perennial, with thick woody tap root; stems from 3-4 ′ long; procumbent, reddish, very hairy, with long white hairs; leaflets 4-6, about 1⁄2 in. long, on petioles from 1.5 - 2 ′, long; stipules slender, acuminmate, very hairy; leaflets oblong, obovate, very hairy on inside and outside, grayish green, entire, thick; inflorescence in short, dense racemes, peduncle long; calyx, upper lip 2 - cleft to near middle, about 2⁄3 length of banner, lower lip 3 - cleft at tip, shorter; banner white or pale lavender with deep blue edge, yellow spot at center with few dark lines at place where it is reflexed; wings blue with darker blue lines, joined at apex, keel ciliate on upper part, sickle shaped, reddish blue at tip; ovary very hairy; ovules 4-5; stigma hairy; style slender; 6 short stamens with long basifixed yellow anthers and 4 long ones with short anthers.
