Habitat  ?   Serpentenite parent material. Chaparral with Ceanothus cuneatus, Pickeringia montana, and Quercus durata dominant. Springs and drainages lined with Cirsium fontinale var. obispoense with intermittent overstory of Hetyeromeles arbutifolia and Umbellularia californica. Grassy areas with Nassella pulchra, Koeleria macrantha, and annual grasses dominant.; Very local in seasonally wet clay soil in partial shade.
