Locality^?	Central Western and Inner South Coast Ranges region. Garcia Mountain, most collections made in the Garcia Wilderness. Stony Creek campground. Near 35.20 N 120.25 W. From the camp, down stream to the trail that climbs up to Caldwell (colwell) Mesa. Ended the survey on Caldwell Mesa. Growing along trail. Near 35.22186N 120.30452W. 7.5 Quad: Caldwell Mesa.
Habitat^?	Mostly grasslands with oaks. Riparian habitat near stream. Chaparral and mostly Quercus douglasii woodland on lower slopes and benches downstream. Pinus coulteri forests up on upper slopes of the south side of creek (Pine Ridge).

Quercus agrifolia, Q. lobata, Q. berberidifolia, Toxicodendron diversilobum, Heteromeles arbutifolia, Keckiella cordifolia, Rhus aromatica, Holodiscus discolor, Mimulus aurantiacus, Salvia mellifera, S. spathacea, Ribes malvaceum, R. speciosum, Salix lasiolepis, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Arctostaphylos glauca, Artemisia californica, A. douglasiana, Amorpha californica, Ceanothus oliganthus, C. cuneatus, Eriophyllum confertiflorum, Linanthus californicus, Lomatium californicum, Marah fabacea, Rhamnus ilicifolia, and Penstemon centranthifolius.
Notes^?	Around the campground is inholding used for grazing. Upper oak benches had a lot of signs of Sus scrofa. This is a drought year, so no running creek water, only pools of water in deeper depressions. Caldwell Mesa was pretty dry at this time, inholding used for grazing too.
