Habitat  ?   On dry, exposed slope with few scattered shrubs and sparse herbaceous vegetation. Scree derived from shale, with little soil development. 
Associates  ?   Eriogonum fasciculatum Benth.; Artemisia californica Less.; Avena L.; Amsinckia Lehm.; Salvia columbariae Benth. 
Morphology Notes  ?   Rays white, abaxial surface of outer rays pink.
