Locality  ?   3 miles south of Kerman on Madera Ave. Alkali flat in valley grassland  
Habitat  ?   Found growing in alkali soil alongside of road. Very tolerant to alkali. Grasses in dry condition including Melilotus, Baeria, Erodium, Bromus rubens, saltgrass. 
Notes  ?   The bees are attracted to these flowers in great numbers which make it an important plant to bee keepers.
